Product
One app for the full night-out loop.
lastnite is the private nightlife recap app for iPhone: discover where to go, track your night as it happens, and wake up to the story of your last night out.
Live in TestFlight today: discovery, private live tracking with venue stops, next-morning recap/history, and a lightweight social layer.
iPhone first. NYC first.
Loop
01
Discover where to go
Start with places, people, and context in one app instead of bouncing between group chats, maps, and feeds.
02
Track the night as it happens
Run a live night with stops that resolve to real venues, so the product captures what actually happened instead of what was planned.
03
Wake up to recap and history
See the night clearly the next morning with venue stops, photos, timing, and the arc of where the night went.
04
Make the next night better
Repeated nights create better recall, stronger recommendations, and a clearer sense of what you actually come back to.

Discovery
Discovery should happen inside the live night, not before it.
The product story is not just "remember where you went." lastnite is meant to help users decide where to go, see what the night looks like around them, and keep that context connected to the actual night they end up having.
- - Discovery lives in the same app as the live night.
- - Stops can resolve to real venues instead of abstract raw GPS.
- - Social context supports the decision without becoming the main product.
Recap
Recap is the return mechanic, not the whole company.
The morning-after view is important because it turns the night into something legible: where you actually went, how long you stayed, and what you might want to repeat. That value gets stronger after the user already understands the full loop.
History is what makes better future nights possible. It should feel like a natural payoff, not a separate product thesis.

Privacy
Privacy-first by design.
- Tracking and venue matching happen on-device.
- Raw night history stays on-device by default.
- Social is optional support, not a requirement for the product to work.
Supporting proof
Social is already in the build.
In TestFlight today, users can discover places, run a live tracked night with stops that resolve to venues, and wake up to recap and history in the same app.
Following friends, browsing recaps, and light social proof are already in the build too, but they stay secondary to the core loop.
